How to play Quiet Heist

  1. Choose Enter on the title screen to begin the next available contract, or open Contracts to replay any unlocked floor. The mission objective appears in the top display.
  2. Hold WASD or the arrow keys on a keyboard. With a mouse or touch screen, press anywhere on the room and drag in the direction you want to travel. Release to stop. Small drags allow slower movement.
  3. Watch the guards and their pale sight cones. An amber sight cone and question mark signal suspicion. Break line of sight before suspicion fills; once a guard is alerted, move away from its firing line and find cover.
  4. In a clear contract, move close to a guard with no wall between you. The agent attacks automatically. Collect dropped cash and optional gold cases, defeat the remaining guards, and follow the green lift marker.
  5. In a heist, avoid every patrol and collect all the required cases. The agent will not attack. Cross laser gates while the beam is off, and leave a margin before amber lights warn of the next active interval.
  6. After extraction, review your time, alerts, damage and stars. Continue to the next contract, replay for a cleaner result, or spend earned cash in Field kit. Pause is always available during a run.

About Quiet Heist

Quiet Heist is a free browser stealth game built around short missions in a miniature three-dimensional building. You control a masked field agent moving through offices, galleries, security floors and archives. The camera follows from above, keeping walls, furniture and guard patrols visible. A pale cone on the floor shows where each guard is looking. Approach from behind for a quick automatic blade strike, or wait behind cover while a patrol walks past. Movement is continuous: a small drag walks slowly, a longer drag moves at full speed, and releasing the control brings the agent to a stop.

The twelve contracts alternate between clearing guarded floors and stealing valuable cases without being seen. In a clear contract, every guard must be defeated before the lift opens. Captains are larger and need three hits, so circling away between attacks is safer than standing in front of their weapon. Guards become suspicious when you enter their sight, then raise an alert and fire after a short aiming delay. Walls, desks and server banks block their view and their projectiles using the same room geometry. Some floors contain explosive barrels, while laser vaults add beams that cycle between active red and a safe dark interval. Amber emitters warn that the beam is about to return.

Heists change the objective without changing the movement controls. Your weapon remains sheathed and the lift stays locked until you have collected every gold case. Being fully spotted ends the attempt, so watch the patrol direction, use blind corners and cross exposed gaps at the right time. Successful extractions earn one star, with extra stars for taking no damage and never raising an alert. Cash collected during a successful mission is banked with a completion reward. Spend it on a stronger vest, lighter boots, a longer blade or quiet ranged darts for clear contracts. New outfit colours unlock through progression. Contracts, equipment, stars and your best scores save locally in the browser when storage is available; no account or online opponent is involved.

Read the room

Patrolling guards show their sight cones on the floor. Raised walls and furniture block vision and bullets, giving every corner a useful purpose.

Move, strike, escape

Continuous movement, articulated footsteps and automatic close combat keep attention on positioning. An alerted guard aims before firing.

Twelve contracts

Clear guarded floors, take on captains, cross pulsing laser gates and complete silent heists. Earn cash for permanent equipment upgrades.

A little help for your next high score

  • Approach the back of a guard rather than running through its cone. A clear view is required for detection, so a solid divider can buy time even when you are close.
  • When a guard begins aiming, keep moving sideways or put a wall between you. Remaining on the same line makes the next projectile much harder to avoid.
  • Captains need more than one strike. Move around them while the weapon recovers, then close the gap for another hit instead of waiting in their line of fire.
  • On a heist, watch one full patrol before crossing a central lane. You do not need to hurry: a quiet completion earns a better result than a fast failed attempt.
  • Use early earnings on the equipment that matches your difficulty. Extra health helps recover from mistakes, while boots and blade reach reward precise positioning. Replay early contracts to earn cash without skipping the learning curve.

Good questions

Is Quiet Heist free to play?

Yes. All twelve contracts, field-kit upgrades and outfit colours are earned through play in your browser. There is no purchase, account or paid continue.

How do I attack a guard?

During a clear contract, move within weapon range with no wall between you and the guard. The blade or equipped darts attack automatically. The agent does not attack during a silent heist.

Why did a guard spot me?

A guard detects you when you stay within its sight cone and clear line of sight long enough to fill its suspicion. Walls and furniture block detection. A question mark gives a brief warning before the guard raises an alert.

How do the three stars work?

Completing a contract earns one star. Taking no damage earns another, and finishing without an alert earns the third. Your best star result is kept for each contract.

What happens to cash when I fail?

Only successful extractions bank the cash collected on that attempt and the completion reward. Equipment and progress earned in earlier successful runs remain saved.

Can I play on a phone and keep my progress?

Yes. Quiet Heist supports touch steering in portrait and landscape. Unlocked contracts, upgrades, outfits and records save on this browser when local storage is available. They do not sync to other devices.
